IT all went slightly pink at Uluru Bar & Grill on Saturday morning as our team pulled out all stops at a coffee morning to raise money for Action Cancer as part of the charity’s Painting The Town pink campaign.
This is not the first time either the #ulurucrew and the committee of The Emerson’s Foundation have joined forces to turn a slight shade of pink. Last year the team held a fashion show fundraiser which raised £422 for the charity.
On Saturday, thanks to very generous members of the public, the Uluru staff helped raise £300.
Alessie Magowan, a committee member of The Emerson’s Foundation which represents Emerson’s Supermarket and Uluru Bar & Grill, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to support Action Cancer in its ‘Paint The Town Pink’ campaign.
“The campaign, which is run alongside the charity’s patron, Gloria Huniford, encourages businesses like ours to ‘Paint The Town Pink’ to help raise much needed funds for the life saving breast screening service as part of October’s Breast Cancer Month.
“We all know someone, a family, which has been devastated by cancer so to have the support we did from the people of Armagh to help us raise £300 was fantastic. The Emerson’s Foundation is so grateful for everyone’s support.”
